Dorothy E. Taylor

Dorothy Elizabeth Taylor, age 95 of Landisville went home to be with the Lord, on December 22, 2023. Born August 7, 1928 in Bedford County PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and “Coozie” Elizabeth Redinger of Everett and the wife of Leo F. Taylor, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2008.

Dorothy graduated from Chambersburg High School and worked for Armstrong World Industries, Hamilton Watch, and retired from Tomlinson Bomberger. She was a 60 year member of the First Baptist Church of Lancaster, and she enjoyed Bible study and fellowship. Her hobbies included cooking, knitting, animals and reading. Dorothy was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Humane League Auxiliary.

Dorothy is survived by her son Gary Taylor (Dorothy Ford) of Gap, daughter Donna Beck (Ken) of Manheim, daughter Gerri Schmeck (Elroy) of Landisville and son Douglas Taylor of Lancaster, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to Landisville Church of God, 171 Church Street Landisville PA 17538.
