Douglas M. Bortzfield

Douglas M. Bortzfield, 67, of Lancaster, PA died Saturday, October 8, 2016 in The Glen at Willow Valley, Lancaster, PA. He was the husband of Connie Bowers Bortzfield with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of June Myers Bortzfield and the late Frank Bortzfield.

Mr. Bortzfield graduated from Elizabethtown College. He worked in accounting for Steel Fab Enterprises and prior to that, for Buck Company, Sayres, Scheid and Sweeton, and Hatter, Harris & Beittel.

He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Quarryville, PA where he served as church treasurer and finance chairman. He was a long time softball player and avid pickle ball player.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sister, Sandra, wife of Michael Coll along with two nieces and one nephew.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 S. Hess Street, Quarryville, PA, 17566 on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.   The family will greet friends immediately following the Memorial Service.  Private interment.
