Edna H. Shearer
Edna H. Shearer, 92, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Mennonite Home. She was the loving wife of the late Clyde K. Shearer.
Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Abram and Amanda (Helt) Rhoads.
Edna spent much of her life as a homemaker dedicating herself to her family
In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, gardening, crocheting, and baking cookies.
She is survived by her three daughters; Martha Shee (wife of Kenneth), Barbara McGallicher (wife of the late Donald), and Cindy Fritz (wife of J. Thomas). Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Lori, Paige, Tammy, Ryan, and Tyler; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in the chapel of the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Mennonite Home’s Benevolent Fund at the address shown above.
