Edna M. Dochat Shaiebly
Edna M. Dochat Shaiebly, 96, passed away on August 16, 2013 at the Mennonite Home.
She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Dochat, married for 32 years, the late Ira F. Gerlach for four and one half years and Roy Shaeibley for 14 years. Born in West Hempfield Twp., she was the daughter of the late Walter V. and Laura F. Miller.
Edna enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and word search puzzles. She was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her children, Paul E. husband of Roberta Dochat of Strasburg, and William R. husband of Debra Dochat of Lancaster; six step-children, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many step-grandchildren; and one brother David K. husband of Beth Miller of Millersville. She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a step-son.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Woodcrest Villa Eagle Commons, 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA with Chaplain Dorcas Martzall and the Rev. Dr. J. Calvin Wenger officiating. Friends may call at Woodcrest Villa on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
