Edna M. Frey

Edna M. Frey, 101, of 100 Abbeyville Rd., Lancaster, PA died Tuesday, August 3rd, at ManorCare of Lancaster. She was the widow of Elwood R. Frey who died January 15, 1997.

Born in Strasburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Laura Rineer Mitchell. She had previously worked at Lancaster General Hospital as a nurse’s aide and at Manheim Twp. High School in the cafeteria. Mrs. Frey was a long- time member of the Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ.

Surviving are three sons: William M. Frey of Stevens, PA, Robert E., husband of Ethel Frey of Manheim, PA, and George L., husband of Jean Frey of Millersville; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild; and one brother, George R. Mitchell of Willow Valley. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carole Jane Myers, two brothers and three sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside memorial service at the Memorial Gardens of Church of the Apostles, 1850 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, August 11th, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kathryn L. Kuhn officiating.
