Elaine C. Saunders, 80, of Lancaster, peacefully passed away on 14, December 2023, at Masonic Village of Elizabethtown. She was the loving wife of Louis Saunders for 58 years, and an amazing mother. She was born in Lancaster, PA to Ben and Marie Castleman.
A Hempfield graduate and member of Salem UCC. Elaine was a judge of elections for many years and enjoyed archery, gardening, sewing, was a baker extraordinaire, and the fisher who always caught the first and most fish.
She is survived by Louis Saunders, husband, three children, Richard Saunders III, wife Jen of New Bloomfield, Stephanie Pescitelli, husband Fred of Atlanta, Elliot Saunders, wife Malinda of Lancaster, and eight grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside Memorial Service at the Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 2nd Lock Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603 on December 22 at 11:00 am with Haan Phelps officiating.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Organization.
