Elizabeth H. Bomberger (Hofmann), 86, of Lancaster, passed away January 13
th
, 2013. She was the loving wife of Samuel W. Bomberger.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence Mae (Schultz) Hofmann.
Elizabeth graduated from West Chester State Teacher’s College and spent much her professional career as an educator for the Lancaster City School District.
She was a proud member of First Presbyterian Church and formerly attended Bethany Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.
She was a former president of the Iris Club; former president of the Towne & Country Garden Club; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; a State Board member of the Federation of Pennsylvania Garden Clubs; and a Master Flower Show Judge. She was also an avid golfer and enjoyed cooking for her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters; Letitia Smith (wife of Melvin), and Paula Mae Bomberger; 4 grandchildren; Cody Smith, Darcy Taylor, Erin Miller, and Ali Daly; and 1 great-grandchild; Nolan Daly.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Bethany Presbyterian Church, 25 North West End Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Saturday January 19th, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. Friends may greet the family from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
