Jane Moss, 87, formerly of 145 N. Plum Street, Lancaster, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Mountain View Hospital in Las
Vegas, NV. Elizabeth had moved to Las Vegas four years ago. She was the wife of the late Lawrence E. Moss who died in 1997. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Carl G. and Anna Hepting Koring. Mrs. Moss was a 1944 graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. Elizabeth had worked at the former Osteopathic Hospital and then St. Joseph’s Hospital where she retired after a 43-year career in nursing. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster where she had enjoyed being part of the hand bell choir. She had been a member of the Quota Club, Happy Hours Club, the Sacred Heart Seniors and AARP. Her interests included playing cards, knitting and sewing. Surviving is a son, Michael D. husband of Pamela Moss of Las Vegas; a daughter, Lynn J. wife of David Johnson of Columbia; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl G. Koring. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Stephen P. Verkouw officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Moss’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
