Elizabeth N. Uyeda
Elizabeth N. Uyeda, 61, a resident of Rocky Hill, NJ formerly of Pine Drive, Lancaster, passed away at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City on April 21, 2013, after an extended struggle with cancer.
She was the daughter of Yoneichi and Kazuko T. Uyeda of Lancaster. She is also survived by brothers, Allen B. Uyeda of Honolulu, HI and William S. Uyeda husband of Marcia Burkey of San Francisco, CA, a sister, Leslie J. wife of Arthur Jackson of Boston, MA, and two nieces, Hanae and Sabrina Uyeda of San Francisco.
Elizabeth was a 1971 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, a graduate of Manhattan School of Music and Rutgers University where she earned a PHD in Biotechnology. She was professor of Mathematics at Rareton Valley Community College in New Jersey,
Services and interment in Conestoga Memorial Park will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106.
