Elizabeth U. Wettig

Elizabeth U. Wettig, 94, Lancaster, Pa. passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 of natural causes at Country Meadows of Lancaster.  She was married to Norman J. Wettig who passed away in 1999.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Elgin and Helen (Doersom) Ulmer. In her youth she loved to roller skate winning prizes for racing and roller dancing. As a young woman she took care of her mother and raised her younger sister. Moving many times from an early age she always found a church to attend leading to a life in Christ which ultimately affected her husband, sons and siblings. She had a heart for the Lord with a card ministry which were custom decorated with stickers and encouraging scripture. She loved butterflies.

She is survived by two sons, Lawrence C, husband of Vicki of Lancaster & Stephen J, husband of Cindy of Lancaster, four grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and one great- great grandson. . She is predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.

A Christian burial service will be held at Lancaster 1

Assembly of God, 1025 Columbia Ave. on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Kris Newman officiating. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made  to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the First Assembly of God, 1025 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603.
