Ellen G. Jury

Ellen G Jury, age 87, passed away on July 28, 2014, at the Mennonite Home.  Ellen was born in Lancaster, PA to the late Paul and Dorothy Gantz and was the loving wife of Lloyd Jury, Lancaster.

Ellen graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School and attended Pratt Institute, School of Art and Design in New York City. She was a creative, gifted seamstress who also enjoyed various arts and crafts.  She also enjoyed classical music, reading, and gardening.  Ellen was a wise, compassionate woman who shaped our lives in incredible ways so for that we will continue to celebrate her life every day despite our grief.

Ellen is survived by her daughters, Amanda, Laura, wife of Alan Sage, Jennifer, Elizabeth, wife of Edward Hahn, and a son, Thomas; also seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a grandson.
