Elmer L. Fisher age 84, had the honor of entering into heaven with Jesus by his side on June 9, 2015, after a brief illness. He was born on October 28, 1930 and married Mary L. King on January 1, 1953. He is survived by his wife of 62 years and four daughters. Lydia Ann wife of Paul Lantz, Linda wife of Jack Stoner, Esther Kachel, Marlene wife of Rick Martin, and son-in-law Leon Miller husband of Susan. He was a loved grandfather to 8 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and 1 great-granddaughter.
Elmer was preceded in death by his daughter Lena Miller and son-in-law Tom Kachel. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and 5 brothers. Surviving are 4 brothers, Menno, Ben, John, and Alvin.
His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, gardening and playing games. Winters were spent in Florida with his beloved wife. He cherished time spent with his family and friends.
Elmer was member of Willow Street Mennonite Church. At the time of his death he was employed at Sight & Sound Theater.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 E. Penn Grant Rd., Willow Street, PA, on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, June 13th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday from 3:00-4:00 P.M.
Interment will be at Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery.
