Elvoida B. Hitchner

Elvoida B. Hitchner “Ellie”, age 74 of Little Egg Harbor NJ passed away in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side on Saturday June 24, 2017. Ellie was born in Englewood NJ, daughter of the late Elvoid E. & Edith M. Byron Post. She has resided in the Parkertown section of Little Egg Harbor Twp. for many years. Ellie was a florist for Fischer Flowers and was instrumental for the floral displays at the IGA grocery stores in Mystic Island and Smithville NJ. She was an active member and church secretary at the West Creek Methodist Church in West Creek NJ and a member of the Tuckerton Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Ellie is survived by her husband of 54 years Roy N., her children Pixie “Ellie” Hitchner Clayton (Orray) of Mullica Twp. NJ, Donna Hitchner Carras (Richard) of Coatesville PA, and Roy M. Hitchner (Diana) of West Creek NJ, her brothers John & Edmund Post , 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and another expected in February.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to her visitation on Thursday June 29, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and from 9-11 a.m. Friday June 30, 2017 at the West Creek Methodist Church 189 Church St. West Creek NJ 08092, her funeral service will begin Friday at 11 a.m. at the church and Officiated by Pastor Sarah Grant . Burial will follow the service at the West Creek Cemetery. Kindly consider a memorial donation in memory of Ellie to the West Creek Methodist Church. Services have been entrusted to Brian L.
