Emilie A. Bauman

Emilie A. Bauman, 102, of Woodcrest Villa, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.  Born in Strasburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Blanche Witmer Lefever.  She was the wife of the late Donald M. Bauman who died in March of 1986.

Emilie was a buyer and personnel director for McCrory’s Department Store, Lancaster and later worked for the Insurance Office of Griffiths and Campbell.  She served as Membership Secretary for the Lancaster Association of Retired Citizens.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster.

Surviving are her brother, Paul W. Lefever of Strasburg, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Cooper.

A memorial services will be held at the Eagle Commons of Woodcrest Villa 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10 AM.  The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.  Private interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to First Presbyterian Church 140 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA 17602.
