Eric B. Dorsey

Eric B. Dorsey, 62, of Landisville, a great husband and father, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at Hospice of L a n c a s t e r County in Mount Joy. He was married 36 years to Angie C. Cucuzella Dorsey. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Muriel Parmer Dorsey of Lancaster, and the late Charles Dorsey. Eric was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local from 1969 until his illness. He was last employed as a foreman by Novinger’s Inc. in Harrisburg He was a 1966 graduate of Lampeter Strasburg High School. For many years he had been involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. He was a former member of Highland Presbyterian Church. His interests included playing ice hockey, gardening, camping, fishing and hiking. Surviving besides his wife and mother is a son, Bryan Dorsey of Landisville; two daughters, Danita Dorsey of Charlotte, NC and Erika Morant of Lancaster; two grandchildren; four brothers, Michael Dorsey of Gordonville, William Dorsey of Conestoga, John Dorsey of Ohio, and Matt Dorsey of Lancaster;  and two sisters, Melanie Buch of Landisville, and Allison Mallin of Willow Street.  A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E. Roseville Road, Lancaster, PA with Rev. Thomas Dodge and Rev. Ann Osborne officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.
