Esther Louise Reikard
Esther Louise Reikard, 82, of Lancaster, passed away on February 26, 2017 at Lancaster Care and Rehab. She was the loving wife of Edward Reikard to whom she was married to for 63 years.
Born in Loysville, PA., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Laura (Dolby) Hess.
After graduating high school, Esther spent much of her life as a homemaker dedicating herself to her family.
In addition to her husband Edward, she is survived by a daughter Sharlene Leppo (husband Lynn) of Grantville, PA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Christopher Leppo (wife Liz) and Jennifer Tharp (husband Luke); 5 great-grandchildren, Blake, Chayse, Addison, Tyler and Tori; and two brothers, Larry Hess of Newport, PA and Ronald Hess of Loysville, PA. She was predeceased by a daughter Darlene E. Reikard.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Lancaster Brethren in Christ Church, 1865 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Camp Hill Cemetery in Mount Joy, PA.
