On Thursday, September 7, 2017, the Lord said, “Ethel, it is time to come home,” and Ethel Leoda Turner Felsinger, 99, a resident of St. Anne’s Home, departed this earth and is now with the Lord.
She was the wife of the late John Felsinger who died in 1996. Her first husband, Albert Turner died in 1959. Born in Mt. Nebo, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth Karr Alexander.
Ethel was a homemaker most of her life but had also worked at Hamilton Watch and Keppel’s Candy. She was deeply involved in her church, Marticville United Methodist and Rawlinsville Camp Meeting, where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed reading her Bible daily, traveling, venturing to almost every state in the lower 48, and spending time with her family. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Edna Mae Myers, by a son, Richard L. husband of Beverly Farmer Turner; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Lester A. Turner, and six siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, at 11:00 A.M. at the Marticville United Methodist Church, 641 Marticville Road, Pequea, PA with the Rev. Doug Paglia officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethel’s memory may be made to the Marticville United Methodist Church.
