Eugene E. “Gene” Draper, 72, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late John M. and Sara Wynn Draper.
Gene worked as a carpet technician for Certified Carpet. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.
He will be lovingly missed by: a son, John E. husband of Betty Draper of California; 2 daughters, Tina wife of Patrick Slatton of Odessa, TX, and Kim wife of Keith Atwell of Farmington, NM; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 1 great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Betty Baldwin, and Jackie Draper; and friends, Charles and Mary Fry, with whom he resided.
Funeral services will be held from the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 8 PM. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hospice of Lancaster County, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
