Florence Jean Smith

Florence Jean Smith, 86, of Lancaster, went to be with her Lord on January 26, 2017.  Born in 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alfred and Ruth May Rinier.  Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Melvin G. Smith.  She was a great homemaker, loved to cook and took pride in her family.  She received excellent care from Hospice & Community Care.  She leaves to cherish seven children:  Rick A. Smith of Centerville, PA., Melvin S. Smith of Landisville, PA., Raymond R. Smith of Pensacola, FL., and Elvin G. Smith, Charles R. Smith, F. Jean Smith and Michael W. Smith all of Lancaster, PA. Also surviving is a sister, Frances Sigman of New Providence, PA.   A funeral Service will be held at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will occur in Conestoga Memorial Park.
