Frank L. Weaver, Jr., 75, died peacefully at his home in Bird in Hand, PA, on the 22
nd
day of January 2015. He was the son of the late Frank L. and Edith Reese Weaver. Frank was the loving husband of Alice Weaver having celebrated their 52
nd
wedding anniversary this past December.
He graduated from Franklin and Marshall College with a degree in Biology in 1962 where he ran cross country and was a proud member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Alice and Frank met while both worked at Lancaster General Hospital. They then moved to Denver, CO where Frank worked as a biology teacher before entering a career in business and working in New York. He resided in New York City, upstate NY and Yardley, PA, before retiring to his childhood home in Bird in Hand in 2004.
He was an 8th generation Lancaster county resident, living in the house bought by his grandfather in 1900. In his retirement, he faced the biggest challenge of his life – Parkinson’s disease. He lived life as a gentleman, was tender hearted, kind, loving, and all with a dry sense of humor. Frank was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Alice listed above, are his daughter, Marisa A. Weaver of Bird in Hand, PA; and his son and daughter in law, Adrian and Donna Weaver of New Braunfels, TX; and four grandchildren.
