Frank P. Berardi, 93 of Lancaster Pa. died peacefully on June 4th, 2015. He was the loving husband of Adele Berardi. In April, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
He was born in Manhattan, New York to Vito and Helen Berardi. He and his wife Adele met while studying at New York’s City College, and they spent forty five years of their married life in Bayside, New York before moving to Lancaster.
A man of great integrity, Frank was a hardworking, fun loving person with a keen mind and winning personality. He had a deep love of nature and a deep understanding and love for people. No one who met him can forget the gleam in his eye or the charming sense of humor he shared right up until his passing.
Frank served in Europe in WWII. He worked in the carpet and flooring industry for many years as his firm’s lead salesperson, and specified flooring for familiar sites including Bloomingdale’s and the World Trade Center.
He was a very active member of the Long Island Ethical Society and then attended Lancaster Friends Meeting. He cared deeply about justice and national and international politics. But what mattered most to him was his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Adele; his daughter, Nadine; daughter Elissa Berardi and her husband Bruce Bekker; his granddaughter, Julietta Bekker; his sister Anita Grauso and her children Susan Anthony and Robin Kline, and by many cousins both here and in Italy.
