G. Rosine “Zene” Heisler

G. Rosine “Zene” Heisler, 90, of Oak Leaf Manor, died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Paradise Twp., she was the daughter of the late Elam and Anna Fromm Kreider. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Heisler, Sr. who died in 2003.
She worked as a medical secretary for several offices including Dr. William Atlee. Prior to that she had also worked as a waitress. A member of Covenant United Methodist Church, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her card club.
She is survived by: a daughter Cindy wife of Thomas Shimp of Holtwood; a son Robert H. Jr., husband of Rebecca Heisler of Metamora, Mich.; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Glen Richard Kreider of Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held from the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, on Monday, at 11 AM with interment following in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave. Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
