Gary L. Mulcahy
Gary L. Mulcahy, 65, of Landisville, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 14, 2012.
He was married 23 years to Mary Kay Burkholder Mulcahy. Born in Erie, PA he was the son of the late Robert and Henrietta Hensel Mulcahy.
Gary retired from the Hempfield School District where he had been employed as a school psychologist for 20 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Grove City College and his Master’s degree from Edinboro University. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Gary served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Gary’s interests included golfing, bowling and following the Philadelphia sports teams.
Surviving besides his wife is a son, Michael R. Mulcahy of Los Angeles, CA.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 540 West Walnut Street, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Kurt S. Strause officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Memory Gardens , Ephrata, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 540 W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
