George E. Chandler

George E. Chandler, 91, of Lancaster, Pa. passed away September 25, 2013 at The Glen at Willow Valley.  Born in Wethersfield, Conn. was the son of Leonidas and Emma Chandler.  He was the husband of I. Louise Chandler for 69 years.

George was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and Pratt and Whitney Aircraft 4 year apprentice course, East Hartford, Conn.  He was employed by the company 41 years in the Experimental department.    A faithful member of Calvary Church, West Hartford, Conn. serving 25 years as Financial Secretary and later Treasurer.   After moving to Willow Valley in 1995 joined Grace Baptist Church also serving on different committees including Finances.

He leaves three daughters:  Donna Swenson, FL., Nancy DiCocco, Co., Beverly Rohon  of Conn.,  two sisters: Predeceased Dorothy Burnham, Lois Cunliffe, Southold, N.Y. and their families.     Grandchildren:  Aimee Swenson, Va., Scott Swenson, Ga., Brent Swenson, Ga. and 2 Great Grandchildren, Caleb and Maya.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service officiated by Rev. Marvin Reich at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, CT on Monday September 30th at 2:00 P.M.
