George H. Breniser

George H. Breniser, 86, of Lancaster, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at The Glen at Willow Valley.

He was the husband of the late Loretta J. Bayler Breniser who died in 2002. Born in Slaymakertown, PA he was the son of the late Benjamin, Sr. and Georgiana Erb Breniser.

Mr. Breniser had owned George’s Garage and then had worked for Daffin, Inc. and the Fairfield Corp.

He was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking and was a member of the Chestnut Grove Hunting Club in Lycoming County. Mr. Breniser served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II.

Surviving is a son David A. Breniser husband of Pamela Minnick of Willow Street; a daughter, Susanne Grebinger of Lancaster; a sister Anna Kennen; and a brother Harry Breniser both of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a daughter Judith Rose, by a sister Evelyn Eckman, and by brothers Charles Murr, Amos Breniser, Benjamin Breniser, Jr. and John Breniser.

Services and interment in the Landis Valley Mennonite Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, PA Dutch Council, 630 Janet Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601.
