George H. Wagner, Jr.

George H. Wagner, Jr., 63, of Lancaster, passed away on November 21, 2015.  He was the loving husband of Rebecca Serfass Wagner to whom he was married to for 34 years.

Born in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of George H. Wagner Sr. and Sallie A. Miller Wagner.

A state champion hurdler in High School, he later went on to receive an undergraduate degree from Drexel University followed by a graduate degree from New Mexico State University.

George spent his professional career as a Civil Engineer specializing in wastewater treatment solutions acting as a true steward of the earth.

He was an Eagle Scout, an L-L League Science Fair judge for 20 years, a soccer coach, and an East-Pete swim team parent.  Most of all he was a dedicated father.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in East Petersburg, PA where he also served as the Nursery School Board President.

In addition to his wife Rebecca, he is survived by two sons, Matthew G. Wagner of Steilacoom WA and Daniel L. Wagner of Bellefonte PA; two sisters, Pamela Moss wife to Michael Moss of Las Vegas NV and Faye Carroll wife to Ken Carroll of Boothwyn PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in Trinity U.C.C., 2340 State St., East Petersburg, PA on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Christopher M. Rankin and the Rev. Harry Rohrer officiating.  Friends may greet the family informally after the service.
