George Hargrove Iii

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our beloved brother, George Hargrove III who passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016.

Born September 5, 1962 he was the son of the late George, Jr. and Ellen Wright Hargrove.

George was a 1981 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School and had been a member of the football team.  He enjoyed fishing and spent most of his free time on the water.  He had been employed by Pfizer, now Johnson and Johnson, in Lititz for over 30 years.

George was loved by so many, he was always willing to help out when needed.  A great friend, brother, and uncle, he will be lovingly missed by many.

Surviving are two brothers, Charlie and Robert Hargrove; three sisters, Debra Smalls wife of Ernest, Partricia Wright-Sherman wife of Aaron, and Juanita Hargrove all of Lancaster, and many nieces and nephews.

Our family unit is once again broken, but we have faith in our Lord and Savior that our brother, made a smooth transition, and we know that he is looking down on us with nanny and pop-pop standing by his side.  We know the Lord will heal our brokenness and our family will continue to remain strong on one accord. Rest in peace brother, we love you always.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, at 12:00 Noon at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, 116 S.
