Gladys E. Brinkman (Sheaffer), age 101 passed away at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (Conestoga View) in Lancaster on September 24, 2023.
After a very long life the Lord has called her home to be with the Lord and her late husband Robert C. Brinkman as well as her late sons Lewis and Edgar Benn.
Born in Lancaster PA, she was the daughter of the late Ellen J. Todd Sheaffer and Harry E. Sheaffer. She was preceded in death by her first husband Clair Benn and her second husband Robert C. Brinkman, her sons Lewis and Edgar Benn, brothers Charles and Robert Sheaffer and son in law Gerald Gochnauer.
Gladys will be missed by her daughters Elaine Hessen, and Louise Gochnauer both of Lititz, her six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, her three nieces and her nephew.
Gladys graduated from McCaskey High School in 1940 and had worked in Lancaster for RCA, American Seed Company and Sanitary Markets until she retired.
Her children want to thank all the Doctors and Nurses and other attendants at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (Conestoga View) for their many years of kindness and care given to our Mother.
Graveside Services will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10 am. and under the care of DeBordSnyder Funeral Home and Crematory 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster PA 17602.
As per Gladys’ wishes there will be no viewing.
