Gladys Mae Snook
Gladys Mae Snook, 99, of Lancaster, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care.
She was the wife of the late Thomas B. Snook who died in 1973. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late George Mummaw and the late Mary Rineer Mummaw Reed. She was also preceded in death by a step father Wilmer Reed.
Gladys retired from Sears Roebuck in Bridgeport, CT where she had been employed for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and spending time with her cat, Mickey.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Mae wife of William Wardell of Las Vegas, NV, and Mary Elizabeth Kimball of Lititz. Also surviving are five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the St. John’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Paradise, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Snook’s memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
