Glenn N. Miller passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Homestead Village in Lancaster at the age of 92. Born in Berrysburg, PA to Nora and Norman Miller he attended LVVS High School and Central Penn Business School. After serving in the Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II he worked for PP& L in Harrisburg and Lancaster for 35 years and at Town and Country Leasing, Lancaster for an additional 20 years.
He was married to Mary W Miller for 52 years before his wife’s passing in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf and music, and was an ardent Phillies and Eagles fan. A member of the American Legion Post 329 in Millersburg, the Harrisburg Lodge and the Scottish Rite Consistory, both of Harrisburg, as well as Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lancaster.
His two sons Ronald of New York City and Livingston NY and Thomas of Lancaster PA and brother Eugene of Palm Harbor, FL survive him, as well as six nephews, three nieces, two cousins and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, on Monday August 12 at 10 A.M. A Funeral Service will follow the viewing at 11:00 A.M. Please do not send flowers but, if desired, a donation in his memory to the Otterbein United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 20 E. Clay St. Lancaster, PA 17602.
A private interment will be held at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill PA.
