Gloria A. Fetter, 80, of Lancaster, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Lancashire Hall.
She was married 55 years to James R. Fetter. Born in York County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret Horn Fisher
Gloria had worked as a weather reporter for WGAL Channel 8 for 17 years and was also employed as an administrative assistant at International Paper.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher. Gloria was a graduate of Donegal High School. Her interests included playing the piano, walking, flower gardening, going to the shore, golfing and playing bridge. She was the happiest in life when she was in the company of her family.
Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Sharon A. wife of William Harris of Lancaster; a son, J. Michael Fetter of Denver, CO; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Samuel M. Fisher.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Deacon Augustus Mauro officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602.
