Grace T. Ott
Grace T. Ott age 89 of Lancaster, died Wednesday June 27, 2018 at Hamilton Arms Nursing Center. Grace was predeceased by her husband of 67 yrs. Russell G. Jr. who passed away Feb 7, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Roy V. and Rhoda Gibson Thompson.
Grace was employed as an order typist for Kidder Peabody Co. Inc. for 28 ½ years and retired in 1985. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Mountville and sang in the choir. She enjoyed making wedding and specialty cakes, ceramics, gardening and had a special love for cats. She was active for many years in the Noon Day Optimist Club and was a past secretary.
Grace is survived by her son Bruce R. husband of Rev. Sally W. Ott of Lititz, her step grandson Brian Hollingsworth, husband of Mary Kathleen, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster PA 17602 where friends and relatives will be received after 12 noon. Rev. Janet Steger is officiant. Private interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
Her family would like to thank Country Meadows, Hamilton Arms, and Compassus Hospice for the personal care given to Grace while residing there.
