Guy E. Campbell, 86, of Pequea, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Life Care Hospitals of Chester County following an illness of three months.
He was the husband of the late Daisy Marie Sellers Campbell who died in 1976. Born in Pequea, He was the son of the late I. Howard. and Anna W. Erb Campbell.
Guy retired from Sperry New Holland in 1982 after 33 years of employment as an industrial engineer. Part of his employment with the company had him relocating to Grand Island, NE for 13 years. Following his retirement he enjoyed driving bus for the Solanco School District for a number of years.
Guy was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church where he was a former treasurer and member of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee. He was a member of the Clan Campbell Society and the Mennonite Historical Society and a former member of the Tucquan Lions Club, the Grand Island Evening Lions Club and the and the Kiwanis Club of Grand Island, NE. He was a Melvin Jones Fellow of Lions International and enjoyed reading and was known as a Civil War buff. Guy was a former member of the Martic Township Planning Commission and a Vice Chairman of the Martic Township Board of Supervisors.
Mr. Campbell spent time in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict as a member of the 33

Field Artillery Battalion Big Red 1.
Surviving are three daughters, Marie K. Campbell of West Chester, Elaine K. Campbell of Pequea, and Irene E. wife of Duane Lefever of Holtwood; and two sons, Paul G. husband of Melinda Campbell of Holtwood, and James D. husband of Kathy Campbell of Pequea. Also surviving are five grandchildren and a sister Susan E. Gingrich of Baden, Ontario. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and seven sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 21, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 673 Martic Heights Drive, Pequea, PA with the Rev. D. Chandler Evans officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Building Fund, 673 Martic Heights Drive, Pequea, PA 17565.
