Harry Yellets, Sr., 79, of Leola, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William F. , Jr. and Lydia Ann Peters Yellets.
Harry retired from Childcraft where he had been employed for 15 years. Prior to that he had worked at Calder Door for many years. He enjoyed fishing, scraping metal, family vacations, photography, country music and following the Washington Redskins.. Each year he looked forward to attending the Make-A-Wish Convoy. Harry served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two sons, Harry Yellets, Jr. of Lancaster, and Robert E. husband of Judy Yellets of Ava, MO; three daughters, Deb Doutrich of Manheim, Linda M. Yellets of Millersville, and Elaine K. Eshbach of Leola; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and six sisters, Emma Stone, Helen Lefever, Ruth Scheid, Joanne wife of Larry Newcomb, Shirley Yellets and Doris Yellets.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
