Hazel E. Welsh, age 91, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Willow Valley in Lancaster.
The daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Welsh, she was born in Wilmington, DE and lived there until moving to Pennsylvania in 1986.
She was employed at the Del Chapter of the American Red Cross during WWII and also served as a volunteer for over 25 years. She then was a secretary at the DuPont Company in Wilmington for 36 years. She was a member of Five Points Chapter #13 Order of the Eastern Star. Hazel enjoyed dancing, travel and needlework.
Her brother, Richard Welsh, died in 1974. She is survived by nieces, Linda Bishop and Martha Diffley, nephew, Donald Welsh, great nephews, Michael and Andrew Bishop and a great niece, Sarah Diffley.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park. Interment will be in the adjoining memorial park.
