Helen M. Herr, 88, of Elizabethtown, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Guy L. and Mary A. McCombs Erb.
Helen had worked at RCA for 32 years and had also worked at Armstrong World Industries during World War II. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Joy. She enjoyed volunteering at the church, reading, gardening and sewing.
Surviving is a son, Ralph C. husband of Patricia Herr of Lancaster; a daughter, Suzanne L. Wenger of Columbia; six grandchildren, Angela, Andrew, Amy Jo, Michael, Kari, Joel; seven great grandchildren, Abby, Delaney, Joshua, Justin, Brittany Ann, Evan and Samantha. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary B. Wesch.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Burns officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Herr’s memory may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 7 Marietta Avenue, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
