Helen M. Harnish, 95, formerly of Willow Street, PA went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Landis Homes. She was born May 1, 1924 in Millersville, PA to the late Christian and Ada Murry Thomas. She was the loving wife of the late Lloyd K. Harnish for 62 years. Helen was a member of New Danville Mennonite Church where she was involved in Sunday School and Sewing Circle. She was a homemaker and also worked at Central Market in Lancaster for Willow Valley. Helen enjoyed entertaining, decorating for holidays and her roses. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought much joy to her. She is survived by three sons: J. Donald, married to Lindsay (Druck) of Conestoga, Gerald T. married to Jean (Minnich) of Bainbridge, Gary L. married to Charlene (Lehman) of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Murry A. Thomas and two sisters, Verna Gochenaur, and Mary Kilheffer.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2019 at the New Danville Mennonite Church, 103 Marticville Rd, with Rev. Jay Garber and Rev. Robert Brody officiating. Visitation with the family will be 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
