SERVICE FOR MONDAY EVENING POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY EVENING
Isaiah Fulmer, 14, of Strasburg, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his home. Isaiah was a lover and follower of Jesus, and so now is with Him in his eternal home.
Born May 15, 1998 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, he was adopted in 2007 by Brian and Laurie Davis Fulmer of Strasburg.
Isaiah was an eighth grade student at Martin Meylin Middle School in the Lampeter –Strasburg School District. Isaiah loved everything about the game of soccer and was a member of the middle school soccer team. He also enjoyed music and art, and was known by his infectious smile. Isaiah was a member of ACTS Covenant Fellowship Church, Lancaster, where he was part of Vertical Realm youth group.
Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Becca wife of Jay Lapp, and Abbey wife of David Simpson, both of Lancaster; a brother, Josh Fulmer of Strasburg; a niece, Hannah Lapp; and a maternal “MomMom”,Carolyn Davis of Downingtown. He was very recently preceded in death by his maternal “PopPop”,Edward Davis of Lancaster, whom he was missing deeply, but now is happily united with again.
A Memorial service will be held for Isaiah’s church family, relatives, and family friends on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Bruce Lengeman and Rev. Shawn Weaver officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the church from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 P.M. for Isaiah’s Lampeter-Strasburg family and friends at the Strasburg Mennonite Church, 1514 Village Road, Strasburg, PA with the Rev. Bob Bronkema and the Rev. Mark Thiboldeaux officiating. Visitation with the family will be at the church from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
Contributions in Isaiah’s memory may be made to the Isaiah Fulmer Fund, payable to Orphan Resources International, 550 W. Trout Run Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. Funds will be used for a counseling ministry under ORI that helps orphans to experience healing from their broken pasts.
