Jacque is survived by her children: Dave (Sue) Sams, Craig (Cindy) Sams, Deborah Tzerefos, Rachel (Randy) Sams-Burnham, John Sams Jr, & Christopher Sams. She is preceded in death by her husband John Sams Sr. and daughter Rebecca Sams (died in infancy).
Jacque was born on December 11
th
, 1927 in Davenport, Iowa, to parents Walter and Edna Hauschild. She graduated from high school and attended nursing school. In 1959, the family moved to Lancaster, Pa. Jacque was a housewife and wonderful mother.
The couple had 7 children together, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Jacque was a social, active mother and wife who was involved in many church and community activities for the majority of her life. She taught Sunday school and VBS. She enjoyed her dogs and all family/school activities with her husband and children.
A Celebration of her Life is scheduled for January 9
th
, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at St Matthews Lutheran Church, 700 Pleasure Road, Lancaster, PA. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the ASPCA of Lancaster County.
