James Edward Mink, age 49, died Tuesday, November 16th, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital , Philadelphia, due to complications from lung cancer. Born in Indianapolis, IN, he grew up in Lexington, KY. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1980-1983, he served in the Kentucky National Guard from 1983-1987 while attending Murray State University in Murray, KY where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering. He moved to Lancaster, PA in April, 2010 to work for ALCOA Mill Products. James is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. John Mink of Lexington, KY; his loving wife, Patricia; a daughter, Maddy; a stepdaughter, Rebecca; granddaughters, Chantelle and Breyelle; sisters, Sal Mink, Tee Fiero, Kate Casper, Mur Greathouse and Bess Deering, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service to celebrate James’s life on Saturday, November 20th, at 7:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.
