James W. Grossman, 75, of Lancaster, passed away on February 9, 2025 at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.
Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late John and Jacqueline (Cosgrove) Grossman.
After graduating from high school, Jim began his career with Slaymaker Lock Factory and concluded his professional career as a custodian at Bethany Presbyterian Church.
He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
His true passion was his lifelong involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. In his spare time, he enjoyed anything having to do with the outdoors such as hiking and camping.
Jim is survived by his siblings, John Grossman (husband of Jane) and Joseph Grossman (husband of Heather). Also surviving are nephews, Joshua (husband of Alyssia), Caleb (husband of Morgan) and Jonathan; and nieces, Hannah Spears (wife of Ian) and six grandnieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael P. Grossman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 25 N. West End Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment with full military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
