James Plowden, Sr.
James Plowden, Sr. was born September 24, 1934 in Clarendon County, SC to the late Elijah and Emma Plowden. He was called to his heavenly home on May 20, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne (Boyer) Plowden and his children, Penda Plowden, James (Anna) Plowden, Jr, and Michele Plowden; eight grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two brothers, Johnnie (Lelia) Plowden, Manning SC, David (Dorothy) Plowden, Miami, FL, and one sister Mary Brown of Cleveland, OH. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah McCray and by his brother, Rufus Plowden.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 1, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 850 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603.
