Jane M. Colon, 78, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care. She was the loving wife of Joseph T. “Tom” Colon to whom she was married to for 56 years.
Born in Lancaster, PA., she was the daughter of the late Elmer P. and Dorothy M. (Harbison) Lesher.
Jane graduated from LGH Nursing School in 1958 and spent her professional career as a Registered Nurse.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter Julie A. Villanueva (wife of Isaac); a sister, Laura Levin and a brother Elmer Lesher. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Justin Cook (husband of Casey), Katherine Sweitzer (wife of Amanda), Alex Villanueva and Jacquelyn Cook; and a great-granddaughter Ellyanna Speece.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
