Jane L. Reinhard

Jane L. Reinhard, age 95, of Lancaster, died on April 10, 2025. Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Esther (Savacool) Reinhard. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth R. Jackson (wife of Jackson P. Diehl), and is survived by close friends, Rev. Mark and Denise Russell and their adult children.

Jane graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from Kutztown State College, and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Penn State University. After initially teaching art in the Pennsbury School District, in 1958 she joined the faculty at Millersville University, teaching in the art department and supervising student teachers until her retirement in 1991. For the next 27 years she was a volunteer staff member at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lancaster, where she supported and enriched the congregation’s life and ministry in many ways. She will be long remembered for her commitment to excellence, her generosity, and her gracious spirit. In her later years Jane was grateful for the relationships and care she experienced at Homestead Village, Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 10:30 am. A visitation will be held at 9:30 am. Interment to follow in the church’s memorial garden.
