Janice Louise Carpenter, 94, of Lancaster, passed away on November 8, 2023 at Homestead Village. She was the loving wife of the late Clair Carpenter.
Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Howard and Miriam Luttenberger.
After graduating from Manheim Township high school, Janice spent her life dedicated to her family as a homemaker.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd where she served on the Church Council and was a member of the choir. She also volunteered at Meals on Wheels for many years.
Janice is survived by a son, Mark Carpenter (husband of Mae) of Dillsburg, PA and her grandson, Matthew of Dillsburg, PA. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Luttenberger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Serenity Hospice, 205 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
