Jean C. Wilhelm

Jean C. Wilhelm, 87, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Willow Valley Retirement Community.   She was the loving wife of the late Paul C. Wilhelm who passed away in 1999.

Born in Paradise, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Shearer) Coble.

After graduating from JP McCaskey High School, Jean spent her professional career as an administrative assistant for MacAdam Real Estate, as well as selling Avon. However, most of her time was devoted to raising her three children.

In her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge, reading, traveling, and watching figure skating. She also enjoyed her monthly luncheons with her high school classmates.

She is survived by a son Robert P. Wilhelm, a son Steven R. Wilhelm (husband of Michael R. Conklin) and a daughter Carolyn W. Fahey (wife of Robert F. Fahey). She is also survived by a sister Nelda Kauffman and a brother Donald Coble. She was the grandmother of Erin Danley (wife of Sheldon Danley Jr.), Lauren Fahey and Matthew Fahey, as well as the great grandmother of Audrey and Connor Danley.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Monday September 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM.  A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will follow in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall, PA

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Water Street Ministries, 210 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the Cancer Research Institute, National Headquarters
