Jeanette Macbride

Jeanette L. MacBride, 94, formerly of Country Meadows of Lancaster, and most recently of Country Meadows of South Hills, PA, passed away September 10, 2011 at St. Clair Hospital, Bridgeville, PA.

Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Sarah VanValkenburg Lehman of Sharon Springs, NY. She was the wife of Walter D. MacBride, Sr. who died in September, 1990.

A graduate of Sharon Springs High School and the Boston School of Dental Nursing, most of her professional career was spent in the dental and medical fields. She was a former member of the Town Club of Lancaster.

Surviving are three sons, Walter D., Jr., husband of Marie of Bethel Park, PA; Bruce, husband of Judy of Leesburg, FL; and Gene, husband of Tammy of Pittsburgh, PA; one daughter, Diane, wife of Lanny Ammon of Lancaster, PA; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 3:30 P.M with the Rev. David D. Allen officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the Memorial Service. Private interment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
