Jerrold S. Dix
Jerrold S. Dix, 83, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, November 19th at Homestead Village. Born on March 25, 1928 in Brattleboro, VT he was the son of the late Justin H. and Myrtle Briggs Dix. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Wetzell Dix.
Jerrold was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of many hobbies, some of which included gardening, water skiing, hunting, snow skiing, camping, and playing the piano, organ, and accordion. After retiring from his position as Assistant Controller of National Life Ins. Co. he volunteered through Helps International Ministries (HIM) creating accounting software for mission organizations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Jonathan husband of Jennifer Dix of Newtown, PA, 2 grandchildren, Katy and Tyler, and a sister Margarie Covey of Middlebury, VT.
A memorial service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 1899 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, November 26th at 3:00 P.M. Friends may greet the family at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
