Joanna “Josie” E. Schlemm
Joanna “Josie” E. Schlemm, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Lancashire Hall.
Born in Manheim, PA, she spent much of her career as part of the factory production teams at RCA and later at International Signal Corp.
Josie spent her life as a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by a son; Douglas J. Schlemm of Lancaster, PA; by two of her brothers, Thomas Heisey of Lititz, PA and John W. Heisey of Lancaster, PA, and a sister, Barbara Perry of Brentwood, TN. In addition to her husband, James D. Schlemm and parents Roy and Mae Shelley Heisey, she was predeceased by a son, Timothy D. Schlemm.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Service at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Lancaster County SPCA, 848 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
