Joanne A. Barr

JoAnne A. Barr, 78, of Lancaster, entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Simmons Kushner, and the loving wife of Douglas J. Barr.

JoAnne loved gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cross stitching. She and Doug loved going away on weekends to Gettysburg and going antiquing. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting dolls, and had an elaborate collection of Snow White memorabilia. She will be missed dearly by her cat, Lucy.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters; Kimberly (James) Lawson of Landisville, and Stacy (Kyle) Williams of Lancaster, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a brother; Joseph Jr. (Genny) Kushner of Manheim., two stepsons; Jeff (Donna) Barr of Lititz, and Thomas Barr of Germany, and a stepdaughter; Sandra (Ralph) Southard of State College. She is predeceased by her parents and a brother; Thomas Kushner.
